Started in 2003, The Java Tree was birthed by artist Traci Morris to fulfill her love of creating unique figures, ethnic greeting cards and gifts with a soulful spirit. Now as a growing company, we are on a mission to provide contemporary multicultural and African-American greeting cards, bridal and wedding shower invitations, African American Baby Shower Invitations, Save The Date invites, Ecards, our very own special Send-A-Greeting card service, one-of-a-kind sculptures, gifts and much More, especially to sophisticated souls of the many hues. Even before her degree in Communications and becoming an Art Institute of Chicago student, Traci was a life long illustrator and in recent years, became a well respected sculptor of unique one-of-a-kind figures. In addition to developing her skills as a sculptor, it was around this time that she expanded her horizons in digital illustration. Excited about both mediums, she began in earnest to create her own brand of contemporary black greeting cards. They became very popular, very fast in local spas and gift shops. This led Traci with a desire to offer her greeting cards online as well as her figures, which has manifested into all sorts of ideas including the creation of invitations, ECards, wedding favors, etc.
