Cashels Cove Crafts is nestled in the wooded shoreline of Mortier Bay, near Marystown, Newfoundland, and features a selection of fine Newfoundland and Canadian made art and crafts. Begun in 1983 by Irene Hurley, our family operated, home-based business is open year round, by chance or by appointment. Irene Hurley is an accomplished watercolorist and craftsperon and for many years has been active in local associations on the Burin Peninsula of Newfoundland, such as The Burin Peninsula Arts Council and The Heritage Run Tourism Association. Member of the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador. Our Newfoundland and Canadian made art and crafts include Placentia West Hooked Mats, fishermen knits, quilts, embroidered Grenfell and Labrador crafts, Duffle, Fluorspar jewellery, hand painted candles, Curzon Pottery, whalebone carvings, puffin decoys, Pitcher Plant and Salt Box Pottery, On The Verge Pottery, pewter, caribou antler jewellery, Sterling Silver by Blaine, Forteau Pottery, Posters, model dories, berry flavored jams and teas, Bread Dough Jewelry, local art, handweaving, cards, Newfoundlandia, and more.
