Lisa experimented in Batik in 1989 after delving into other surface design techniques such as Silk screening and Tie Dye. She has a Minor in studio Art from the University of Virginia, with a concentration in Printmaking. Her love of fiber arts is also evident through her primary occupation in Oriental rug restoration. Regardless of the medium, Lisas work reflects the world around her. The outdoors, traditional dance and music, and exotic cultures are represented in many of her images. When she isn’t working on rugs or t-shirts, you can probably find Lisa in the studio working on new Irish dance steps, at home in the woods with her two cats or at the local pub with a pint and some good friends.
