Gardenworks at MacClan Farms is a 3rd generation family farm that has evolved from 1911 when Grandpa McEachron purchased the farm for dairy and poultry. My dad, Harold McEachron, expanded the farm to include 600 acres, 200 holsteins and 50,000 chickens. Yes, 50,000! As times, markets & abilities changed, we focused on specialty crops which make the farm a country destination. Today the dairy barn has been transformed into a vibrant marketplace for you to explore and experience, featuring floral designs, local cheeses, vegetables, baked treats and quality handcrafts. Robust greenhouse crops launch the spring season followed by summer U-Pick blueberries and raspberries. In fall the flower field and pumpkin patch provide a bounty of autumn treasures. Then the evergreen boughs are cut for holiday wreath making & the barn hosts a spectacular annual Christmas collection. We intend to keep the farm a farm. We revere the farm’s fertile fields bisected by the Black Creek and bounded by the foothills of the Green Mountains. It is a privilege to work the land & share the bounty of this wonderful farm with you.
