My name is Carla Champlin and I live in the country in Preston, CT. I have always been creative. When I needed to relieve my stress and boredom, I decided to find a hobby. I remembered my friends mother trying to teach us macrame when we were about 9 yrs.old. I liked it but of course at age 9 that lasted all of about 20 minutes. She let me take my short little strand I had started home with me. I looked at it from time to time and wished I had paid more attention to what she had taught me as I wanted to do more. Again, being 9 yrs old those thoughts were fleeting. So when I started searching for something to do I went to our local craft store. I was overwhelmed. I wanted to do everything! I found a hemp jewelry kit. It was just like macrame. I bought it, brought it home and dove in. I was hooked! Before I knew it I had so much jewelry it was everywhere. My family and friends told me I should sell it.
