I grew up on a lake with my black Labrador dog, my fishing pole and my row boat. The folks on Spider Lake can probably still hear the music coming from the speakers I used to put in the window before I went out fishing.....lol.. I had a wonderful childhood full of the outdoors, but I always dreamed of having horses and living more of a farm style life. I bought my first horse when I was thirteen by saving money from a weekend cleaning job. I paid the board for him and all of his feed, trimming and misc. bills. His name was SunDance, and the love of my life at the time. My son doesnt really get into the farm aspect of things, although he used to spend a lot of time with his pony Mamma, until he outgrew here. Now, he is more into his computer and such and is an A B student in school. My daughter loves the farm, and is constantly on a pony - I cant keep her off! My husband must love me, thats why he puts up with all of my animals! But as you can see from the picture, he really does love them too! I work in several mediums when it comes to art. I started out very young drawing and painting. Then I discovered the love of play-doh, and graduated to polymer clay. I have since moved on to Apoxie to do most of my sculpture in. I work with acrylic paints, scratchboard, leather, Apoxie, driftwood, antler and anything else I can get me hands on to create something unique. My favorite things to work with is the miniature paintings on the antler jewelry and the leather work. These take a bit more time and are more tedious, but I really like the end results.
