Beddytears came from a family tradition of turning words around. Bunny rabbits are Runnybabbits, and Teddy bears have always been Beddytears. Oh, and then there is Birthingtons Washday. So when it was time to think up a name for our business, Beddytears seemed just right! Beddytear bears are designed and created with love by Lee Ann Blumenshine. Both machine and hand sewing are used in the bears construction. The faces are completed by hand and use German pearl cotton and German glass eyes. All bears are made from quality German mohair - often hand dyed. The paw pads are made of Ultrasuede. Depending on the bear, the stuffing is polyester, glass beads, plastic pellets, excelsior, or a combination of these. The bears are fully jointed and some have armatures in order to hold their pets or toys. Each bear is a labor of love, made with the hope that it will be adopted into a home where it will be well loved and enjoyed for years to come.
